Activists & protagonists – before, around, after 1989 …
Women* were involved in all everyday areas/levels of the GDR citizens’ movement – actively founding and structurally supporting it – and not “only” in the “women’s movement” of (autonomous) women’s and lesbian groups inside and outside the church. Women* were actively involved in the peace and environmental movements – as well as in the founding of initiatives, activist groups and parties before, around and after 1989.
